White Balance

Image
In week 9 we took pictures based on White Balance. In this photo, I used the preset manual in measure to capture the neutral grey sky as it was cloudy and gloomy that day.  With this photo, I used the use photo- white balance setting again in the preset manual. This really captures the white building and accentuates the white colour. I took photos with WB (colour tone) using fluorescent, High temp mercury-vapour to grasp the red-orange tones in the trees to represent winter/fall.  This is one of the adjusted photos I edited. With this, I essentially lowered the temperature and enhanced the white and lowered the shadows, to create a brighter enhanced white picture. As originally the photo was very dull and didn't show enough light.  Through this photo, I enhanced the temperature and tint to create a more vibrant setting using the colour seen on the hill. I also lowered the white setting as originally the sky was too bright and you couldn't grasp the clouds in the sky...

Composition

Image
In week 8 we had to take pictures using composition pictures we were given. This was slightly hard for me but I can improve this in the future

Nature

In week 6 we had many options to choose from. The photos I mostly chose were underexposed and DOF and movement. I feel as though I am improving with my camera skills.

Exposure

In week 5  We decided to be creative and our task was to try get the right exposure in pictures from different angles and sides

Photo Essay

I chose this photo essay due to the fact the pictures using motion and colour really spoke to me. The way the author spoke about the reasons he took these photos and the explanations really spoke to me. Mesías-Lema, J. M.  In week 4 I learned DOF (Depth of field) and how to create blurred effects with the camera. I also learned to capture movement in photographs.
